Upcoming Planned Roadwork for Northeast Missouri, September 8 - 18, 2026

HANNIBAL – The following is a list of general highway maintenance work the Missouri Department of Transportation has planned in the Northeast Missouri region for the next few weeks.

All road closures and planned roadwork may be viewed on the Traveler Information Map at http://traveler.modot.org/map/.

Inclement weather may cause schedule changes in some of the planned work. There may also be moving operations throughout the region, in addition to the work mentioned below. MoDOT asks drivers to work with us by buckling up, putting your phone down, slowing down and moving over in work zones.

Adair County

Missouri Route 11 – September 15, CLOSED for culvert replacement operations from Steer Creek Way to Clay Way between 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.

U.S. Route 63 – September 10, LANE RESTRICTION for core drilling operations from Baltimore Street to 0.5 mile south of Route P between 7:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.

Route F – September 8, CLOSED for culvert replacement operations from Rural Dell Lane to Hereford Lane near Kirksville between 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.

Audrain County

U.S. Route 54 – September 8 – 11, LANE RESTRICTION for bridge maintenance between Missouri Route 22 to CR 956 over Scattering Fork River between 7:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. daily.

Route RA – September 10 - 11, CLOSED for culvert replacement from Route ZZ in Montgomery County to CR 756 in Audrain County between 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. daily.

Lewis County

Missouri Route 81 – September 8, CLOSED for culvert replacement operations from CR 579 to CR 479 between 8:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.

Lincoln County

Route E – September 16, CLOSED for bridge maintenance between Route UU and Sitton Branch Road over North Fork Cuivre River between 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.

Route Z – September 17, CLOSED for culvert replacement operations from Perks Road to Long Road near Whiteside between 8:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.

Macon County

U.S. Route 63 Southbound – September 9 – 10, LANE RESTRICTION for shoulder work from Jackpot Street in Macon County to CR 1690 in Randolph County between 8:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. daily.

Marion County

U.S. Route 61/24 Eastbound – September 8, LANE RESTRICITON for patching operations from CR 406 to Business Route 61 near Palmyra between 7:00 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.

U.S. Route 61/24 Westbound – September 9, LANE RESTRICTION for patching operations from Missouri Route 6 near Taylor to CR 310 between 7:00 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.

Montgomery County

Route RA – September 10 - 11, CLOSED for culvert replacement operations from Route ZZ in Montgomery County to CR 756 in Audrain County between 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. daily.

Route B – September 17, CLOSED for culvert replacement operations from Grennan Road to Case Road between 7:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.

Route B – September 18, CLOSED for culvert replacement operations from Deer Hollow Road to Mexico Road between 7:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.

Randolph County

U.S. Route 63 – September 9 – 10, LANE RESTRICTION for shoulder work from Jackpot Street in Macon County to CR 1690 in Randolph County between 8:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. daily.

Shelby County

U.S. Route 36 Eastbound – September 14, LANE RESTRICTION for patching operations from CR 486 to CR 471 between 7:00 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.

U.S. Route 36 Westbound – September 15, LANE RESTRICTION for patching operations from CR 486 to 0.50 mile east of Route T between 7:00 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.

U.S. Route 36 Westbound – September 16, LANE RESTRICTION for patching operations from CR 447 to Missouri Route 15 between 7:00 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. 

Route W – September 8, CLOSED for culvert replacement operations from CR 246 to CR 248 between 7:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.

Route W – September 9, CLOSED for culvert replacement operations from CR 156 to CR 176 between 7:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.

Warren County

Route A – September 9, CLOSED for culvert replacement operations from Route W to Powerline Road between 8:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.

Work with us in the work zone!  Please remember to obey all work zone signs and personnel.  With an increased number of highway work zones in Missouri, we urge all drivers to pay attention every second while driving, especially through a work zone.  Be informed of your route by checking the MoDOT Traveler Information Map before you leave to see if you will encounter any work zones.
